HEALTH, SAFETY & ELITE COORDINATOR
Universal Truck and Trailer is Atlantic Canada's largest heavy duty truck dealership featuring the most up-to-date dealer service bays in Southern New Brunswick.
We are an authorized sales, service, parts & warranty dealership for Freightliner, and Western Star Trucks. In addition, we service all makes and models for class 6, 7 and 8 vehicles, including luxury class RV's.
We focus on delighting our customers through continuously developing our team. We currently have an opening at our head office in Dieppe for a Health, Safety & Elite Coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborate with the business and action annual Safety Plan
Collecting and entering Hazard ID’s including near misses and observed risks
Ensure plan is in place to improve Safety Readiness Score
Facilitate and chair Health and Safety meetings, including communicating actions and posting minutes on safety boards.
Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation
Ensure safety compliance through MyLearning is up to date including making sure all new hires have required training complete.
Lead investigations, accidents and near misses and entering in to Intelex with updates
Report RIR activities and follow up on investigations and action items
Ensure weekly inspections are complete and vendor coordination to ensure all equipment is compliant (ie : lift and jack stand certification)
Coordinate Elite Support Re-certification, including ongoing assessment of compliance with the Elite Support criteria and providing quarterly and monthly submissions
Report Key Process Metrics to employees, follow up when required
Facilitate Change Management Team meetings
Support the implementation of new processes at the dealership
Connect the dealership with the Elite Support Network
Borrow and share best practices through the HUB
Attendance at the Annual CIC Summit
Attend training as required
1-2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role considered an asset
Process oriented, always looking for a better way to get the job done
