Reporting to the Director of Commercial Client Support, the Supervisor for Small Business Solutions will develop and execute the commercial lines strategies to support accelerated growth in small business.
This includes contributing to the development and deployment of digital initiatives to drive operational efficiency and support lead generation activities.
Roles reporting into the Supervisor for Small Business Solutions include Small Business Sales and Service Consultants.
The Supervisor, Small Business Solutions will also : maintain employee engagement; manage workload among direct reports;
provide coaching as opportunities arise; be a key player in leading market relationship management for small business; and, will be involved in setting key team strategic initiatives and metrics to support the overall corporate business plan.
Progressive and broad experience in insurance with a minimum of 5 years’ technical experience (sales, marketing, etc.).
CAIB or other industry designations would be an asset.
Prior leadership experience an asset.
Competent understanding of the current digital landscape within the insurance industry.
Experience working with digital vendors would be an asset.
A history of external relationship accountability.

Provide guidance and coaching to direct reports in both Sales and Service.
Work closely with the Sales team to generate leads and secure new clients.
Work with internal stakeholders and third party companies to support the execution of the commercial digital strategy.
Work with the Sales Consultants to establish and execute a digital content strategy through various social media channels or at established touch points with existing clients throughout the policy cycle.
Develop and deliver solutions that drive efficiencies and enhance the overall client experience.
Effectively manage workloads and monitor through regular quality review exercises to ensure the team is adhering to established service and quality standards.
Accountable for leading relationships and collaborating with representatives from various markets with respect to small business.
Complete monthly statistical analysis and reporting on key metrics for the small business solutions team.
Effectively cascade market information including industry / coverage trends.
