  • You have about 6-months work experience in a fast paced, high-volume sales or customer service environment.
  • You are technology-savvy and have an interest in home furnishing, passion for IKEA products and design, as well as our Sustainability commitment.
  • Your customer service skills are top notch you can assess a customer’s needs providing all support to aid them in their buying decision.
  • You are a total people-person and can strike up a conversation easily.
  • You can effortlessly juggle multiple priorities while keeping a smile on your face.
  • You have an amazing attention for details and are consistent with your approach.
  • You love customers and are confident in communicating with them in a polite and friendly manner.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (bilingualism is required).

  • Resolve existing customers' cases in a courteous and timely manner while ensuring that all necessary information, options and acceptable solutions are provided.
  • Demonstrate good judgment towards complex situations by negotiating and making decisions when is needed.
  • Make sure that all customers' enquiries are properly and efficiently handled by arranging returns, exchanges, refunds and other services.
  • Partner with our stores across Canada, including eCommerce, and affiliated service providers to resolve customers' cases.
  • Provide customers with a forum to express their concerns and react in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Ensure a seamless customer service experience by properly documenting the customers' issues, discussions, and negotiations.
  • Use available resources to educate yourself on products, services and customer interaction techniques.
  • Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
  • Be a representative and ambassador of the IKEA Values & trademark.
  • Support the team with any additional duties, as required.
