The Operations Analyst role is based in Regina, SK and reports directly to the Saskatchewan Area Manager, Materials.

What you’ll get to do

Generate and maintain Essbase reporting to be used to verify financial statement accuracy and business performance analysis

Analyze costs to ensure accuracy of all information in financial statements

Provide month end cost of sales reporting including reconciliation of raw materials purchases, inventory and production

Provide regular supporting backup information for journal entry and enter / reconcile raw material usage

Provide assistance to management in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual operations forecasts and operating plans

Track KPI's and generate efficiency reporting for operations, sales / marketing and management

Support special projects including AFE and Post Investment Review analysis

Generate specialized financial reporting as required

Receive, scan, code A / P invoices for accurate financial reporting

Provide written and verbal quotations, working closely with the outside sales team to expedite quoting process.

Work closely with the outside sales group to update changes / additions to project pricing.

Follow up with customers after jobs close to increase market understanding.

Provide annual quotations to annual account customers.

Work closely with billing departments to ensure customer pricing and order information is accurate.

Develop a working knowledge of the Company's product offerings, services, and core competencies. Maintain organized customer information within company systems, including quotes, call logs, and follow up forms.

Essential Experience and Skills

Degree or Diploma in Accounting, or combination of degree / designation in progress and equivalent experience

Minimum 2 years accounting experience in the areas of month end reporting, income statement interpretation and journal entry preparation

Advanced software skills with a focus on accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Preference will be given to those candidates with JDE / SAP experience
  • Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment but may requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
