Sandhill Winery is located beside our Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery and Tap Room at Wayne Gretzky Estate. Both our retail stores and pub offer wine tastings of a large selection of wines, including award-winning Sandhill single vineyard wines and many rare Small Lots - all of which you can taste year-round.

Located in the heart of downtown Kelowna and at BC's oldest winery location, the shop also boasts a selection of Sandhill and Gretzky branded clothing, house wares, home decor, cookbooks, and local artisan treats to suit every budget and taste.

We are seeking an extraordinary, enthusiastic Retail and Experience Supervisor to join our Sandhill Estate Winery team.

Reporting into the Retail & Experience Manager , we are recruiting a Retail and Experience Supervisor . Your job will be varied, and no two days will be the same! If this sounds interesting and you are eager to pour extraordinary into everyday life, read further.

We are looking for teammates with :

  • A passion for working with the public and / or are interested in learning about wine
  • A passion for sharing wine and viticultural knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multi-task while guiding a team
  • A "Can Do" attitude and enjoy working under pressure
  • An understanding of how to provide best-in-class service for guests
  • Ability to be a brand ambassador; you love to entertain others in a fun and engaging way
  • This teammate will be accountable for :

  • Consistently demonstrating service excellence to all visitors resulting in memorable guest experiences while inspiring a team of Wine Enthusiasts to do the same
  • The performance and team training of retail functions within the retail boutique
  • Managing all customer inquiries completely, appropriately, and in a consistently positive, professional and enthusiastic manner
  • Sharing wine and viticultural knowledge in a fun and engaging way with customers and own team
  • Supporting the drive for higher sales and support Wine Enthusiasts to encourage guests to become Wine Club members
  • Being a positive Wine Educator and brand ambassador, as well as inspiring our team of Wine Enthusiasts conveying a consistent and positive brand story
  • Financial and inventory management
  • Maximizing revenue per customer through merchandising of the tasting room
  • Incumbents for these roles must be a minimum of 19 years of age and in possession of a valid "Serve it Right" certification.
