Avison Young (AY) is seeking a highly talented individual to deliver real-world’ implementable solutions through workplace intelligence (strategy) consulting services.
As a Workplace Consultant / Workplace Strategist, you will deliver multiple projects at once, engage with clients and team to deliver integrated consulting and advisory services.
You will be entrusted to enhance, grow and be an integral part of the existing Workplace Intelligence service line focused on developing and creating the optimal work environments for our clients.
You will develop analytical solutions derived from understanding our client’s business, operations, strategy, talent, technology, real estate and space.
This role will be part of an ambitious team that is changing the way operations and real estate decisions are made. This role is directly part of the Ontario / Canadian team but you shall also be available to be a resource to the US team as required / as needed.
You will have a high-level of autonomy to work when and where you prefer, assuming you deliver per your engagement agreements with clients.
You will be required to continue strengthening existing internal relationships, existing client relationships, focused on successful delivery of Workplace Consulting projects alongside the Manager, Director and President.
Responsibilities
Produce and / or deliver workplace intelligence (strategy) engagements and develop and implement comprehensive workplace strategies and environments, including end user interviews, utilization studies, employee surveys, benchmarking, and visioning work sessions that align with the business strategy
Highly analytical, demonstrating knowledge in qualitative and quantities research methods, agile / flexible / activity based working concept design, space budgeting, test-fit creation / oversight, workplace concept / guideline development, and the use of technology as an enabler
Ability to think from both an organizational demand and building supply perspective
Produce workplace Intelligence (strategy) engagement deliverables per AY’s methodology and approach.
Work independently and collaboratively on projects to manage required aspects of a project from the initial workplace strategy to the project closeout, and all elements in between as required
Support team members, while working independently or as part of group projects
Provide best-in-class client-centric service, delivering quality projects on-time
Work with the Director and Manager to define project scopes, write proposals and deliver projects
Seeks out innovation and best practice across all areas of the role brings new ideas and thinking to client work and also to internal processes and operations.
Manage a team that will serve multiple client projects across varying stages of progress and effectively balance a diverse set of responsibilities
Leverage technology systems and tools in support of workplace intelligence (strategy) engagements to be used to gather, document, analyze and convey findings to clients.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years experience
Preference given to bilingual candidates
Strong technical and analytical focus
Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
Strong sense of urgency to achieve timely, quality results
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently, pro-active, yet work within a team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
