DEPARTMENT : People & Technology
The People and Technology Department is comprised of three teams :
The People & Strategy team manages recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, job evaluation, policies and procedures, rewards and recognition, training, employee engagement initiatives and supports the culture at Doctors of BC.
The People & Strategy department will also support questions and concerns regarding team work or work environment.
The Infrastructure team manages the physical assets of Doctors of BC related to the building, office equipment and maintenance of the building.
The team also responds and provides resolution to any issues concerning office equipment, furniture and building maintenance.
They also manage the internal and external mail, and take care of general office services and provide support to the tenants within the building.
The Information Technology provides technical and software support and training to the employees of Doctors of BC. The IT department is a strategic business partner to further advance the interests of Doctors of BC through technology.
THE TEAM : People & Strategy
The People & Strategy team helps Doctors of BC attract, engage, and retain our most valuable asset - our people. With expertise in employment practices, workplace culture, recruitment, training and development, and benefits and compensation, this team supports the entire life cycle of our employees.
We are a high performing team who move at light speed and are equipped to support the growth of Doctors of BC. The group is positioned as a strategic partner to the Association.
THE JOB : Talent Acquisition Manager
Reporting to the People and Strategy Manager, the Talent Acquisition Manager will be a key leader on the People & Strategy team.
Working collaboratively with the People & Strategy team and hiring managers, the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading all recruitment and hiring efforts for Doctors of BC.
The Manager is an agile and experienced recruitment professional who will be a brand ambassador and will employ proactive methods to identify and attract talent to Doctors of BC.
They will possess a commitment to team excellence and will spearhead projects to both develop and improve internal processes.
They must be exceptional communicators, a self-starter, and great negotiators.
In addition to full-cycle recruitment their mandate will include; special projects, analyzing and classifying new and existing jobs, and advising on succession and work-force planning for managers and their teams.
They will work closely with the People & Strategy Manager and People & Strategy team to communicate progress, provide information, contribute to team projects and other duties as required.
This role is fast paced, ever evolving and challenging. The incumbent will assess and anticipate organizational needs in regards to talent and succession planning and are excited by growth and can navigate through change.
They understand the road to success entails strong relationships, a passion for understand the business and the ability to create flexible and creative solutions to tackle recruitment and branding through the lens of our organizational values.
