The Experiential Community Events team is a key component of the Community Strategy, Planning & Execution marketing team, focused on enriching the lives of our customers and influencing their purchasing decisions by creating innovative, memorable experiences that amplify the TELUS Brand in our communities.

As part of the broader Home Solutions Marketing organization, this high-performing team works in a dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced environment with an exciting mandate.

This is a great opportunity to lead a high performing team that supports all our community marketing efforts in over 143 PureFibre markets across Alberta and BC.

As a strategic thinker, you effectively translate business challenges into grassroots marketing strategies to engage, educate and influence consumer purchasing decisions across multiple market segments.

You are passionate about coaching and developing team members, and possess exceptional communication skills. The ability to collaborate within a team and cross functionally is key to your success, and you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to be part of the solution.

Here's how

  • Provide recruitment, onboarding, coaching, direction and leadership to team members who are accountable for the creation and execution of a range of grassroots level events
  • Foster a collaborative environment, focusing on team member engagement to promote accountability and high performance
  • Champion for community centered marketing approach in working with key stakeholders across the business to execute our community events strategy
  • Work with team members and customers to improve overall Likelihood to Recommend and influence purchasing decisions
  • Execute event strategies to increase penetration of TELUS products / services in PureFibre markets; be prepared to trial different approaches to uncover the optimal method
  • Contribute to the development of initiatives to establish best in class practices within TELUS
  • Budget management and quarterly reporting of results
  • Evolution and maintenance of the Brand Ambassador program

  • Background in event marketing, community marketing, telecommunications
