Position type : Contract (Approximatively 13 months)

Specific ACCOUNTABILITIES :

In today’s landscape of constant connectivity, data capture and instant gratification, shoppers expect to be recognized and rewarded on a personal basis.

As such, Ivanhoé Cambridge is building a Relationship Marketing practice to understand how its retail shoppers behave in different channels & formats and, in turn, leverages this intelligence to the benefit of all stakeholders (brands, clients, retailers).

Reporting to the Manager, Content and Communications, the role requires the development of a strong working relationship with the broader Digital Marketing & Solutions team, with a network of external agencies and with each shopping centre’s Marketing leads.

Main duties include :

  • Build and design strategies and tactics to maintain and engage our shopper database across relationship building, conversion and advocacy phases;
  • Work with the Manager, Content and Communications to establish shopper engagement goals.
  • Subsequently, must measure, adjust and evolve communication strategy to meet these goals;
  • Own the management and optimization of internal email platform linked to SalesForce Marketing Cloud and manage different email templates and sends;
  • Develop a bilingual (EN / FR) content calendar that includes communications to shoppers via newsletters, social media platforms and behaviourally-
  • triggered personalized messages;
  • Own the management and optimization of the omni-channel campaign management platform, the Social & Shopper Journey Management platform and campaign delivery tools;
  • Test new ideas and marketing tactics to determine lift on multiple types of shoppers;
  • Suggest and implement new management system solutions to improve the existing content integration process;
  • Oversee the always-on social media monitoring / online customer service strategy with an external agency and the implication of local marketing teams;
  • Support the ongoing management of client services platforms and real-time shopper advocacy / surveying;
  • Liaise directly with and (when needed) provide training to corporate and local marketing teams on the importance of and tactics for shopper retention across digital channels;
  • Manage consultants and interns, as needed, for the delivery and measurement of the established strategies and initiatives.
  • Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, eCommerce or Communications required;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relationship marketing experience;
  • A strong passion for researching and testing new opportunities to generate new customer experiences;
  • Hands-on experience with both defining user journey and deploying the underlying technology;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with internal stakeholders and external agencies;
  • Excellent communication, a positive attitude, and proven presentation skills;
  • Detail oriented, analytics-driven and well organized;
  • Strength in and comfort with budget management;
  • Strong project and time management;
  • Oral and written proficiency in French and English;
  • Experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud an important asset.
