The Challenge : Analyst and Systems Administrator
Working with the management team for IT Operations, you will analyze the company’s internal systems and assure they are aligned with industry best practices and market trends.
You will be based in our Sherbrooke office.
You will be in charge of analysis, design, implementation and administration as well as the continued improvement of all applications and solutions for SherWeb’s technology operations.
You will act as a resource for our information systems.
Your Mandate :
Analysis and Administration
Evaluate and model the computer ecosystem to build a profile of the software and systems used throughout the company
Analyze the current systems and create action plans to improve and optimize these systems according to our needs
Analyze client needs and define innovative solutions
Evaluate system models, descriptions, diagrams and graphics to provide direction for our system programmers
Design and Implementation
Define standards and processes for coding, deployment and administrative tests
Plan, coordinate and supervise activities related to design, development and integration of information systems and software
Develop small and medium-sized applications
Elaborate and revise files for technical specifications and use cases if required
Support the production team and users during user acceptance testing
Administration and Continuous Improvement
Build development and improvement plans, policies and procedures
Provide leadership and expertise to solve complex technical problems
Participate in operational workshops to establish system improvements
Monitor developments in technology and stay up to date on trends related to technology. Propose industry best practices.
Inform the user community of updates and participate in management changes, including training
Establish relationships with IT professionals and users in other departments
Your profile :
College / university diploma in Computer Science
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in functional or business analysis
Experience in analysis related to application development and systems administration
Knowledge of object-oriented concepts and architecture-oriented services (AOS)
Knowledge of database servers (SQL, mySQL) and Transact-SQL
Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS) software will be considered an asset
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
