Recruitment : In conjunction with Transportation Recruiter, oversee the recruiting process : Determining the staffing needs and post accordingly (web postings, newspaper ads, on-

campus recruitment, placement agencies) Screening resumes and conducting interviews Identify strengths and weaknesses of candidates based on job requirements and company culture Assess candidate for progression through the recruitment process and coordinate additional interviews Work with agencies and develop relationships as required Advise hiring managers on candidate progress through recruitment Coordinate travel arrangements for candidates Orientation and Training Plan and facilitate bi-

  • weekly orientation for all new employees Work with appropriate managers and departments to determine new hire training schedule, shifts, and complete employee offer letters Develop and add additional training content as necessary Facilitate training sessions and assign training to employees as needed HR Reporting;
  • Analysis Track various HR metrics and present to senior leadership as needed. Review survey findings, and send to immediate supervisors for follow-

    up Benefits / RSP : Gain and maintain thorough knowledge of benefit programs to facilitate the communication of details and respond to inquiries from employees Employee Relations HR point of contact for any employee relations challenges Communicating with new hires for feedback and follow-

    up on orientation and training Participate and support all company events and cultural initiatives Disability Claims Management Responsible for effective and efficient case management of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board claims, and work with third party Consultants to oversee the Short Term and Long Term Disability claims management for employee group.

    Maintain records of active claims and prepare statistical analysis Prepare and submit professional objections for questionable claims and cost reliefs Initiate lost time interventions to maximize cost avoidance Provide guidance to Management on short term and long term disability practices Develop early and safe return to work plans for employees on modified duties Establish and maintain amicable relations with Case Managers at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Other Human Resources projects as determined by Senior HR Generalist or HR Director Assist and support the Senior HR Generalist or HR Director as required
