POSITION SUMMARY :

As a member of the IS Service Desk Team, reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader , the Technical Support Specialist 1I supports client computing equipment (e.

g. PCs laptops, printers, multi-function devices) and services for the WOHS community and ensures end-user satisfaction by responding to requests for technical services in a timely and efficient manner.

CORE COMPETENCIES :

Working independently and collaboratively with staff and clients your job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to, you will :

  • Accept calls through an automated call distribution system
  • Log issues into a central ticket management system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues over the phone and in person
  • Account creation in Active Directory and clinical applications
  • Assist with various other services as required or deemed necessary by the team leader or manager
  • Must provide own transportation to service multiple sites as required
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a computer related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a large corporate / healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong client computing experience e.g. desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, multifunction devices, desktop phones, voicemail
  • Solid skills in supporting common end user applications including Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint / Office 365, Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader etc.
  • Must possess excellent customer service interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills
  • Organized, able to handle multiple requests, willing to learn and works well under pressure
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
