As a result of growth we are currently conducting an active search for the company’s next Vice President of Fixed Operations working out of their Calgary office .
Reporting to the CSOO, the VP of Fixed Operations will be responsible for multiple disciplines including Parts, Service, Procurement and their Agricultural Optimization Specialist group.
Through their direct reports he / she will drive the strategic direction of the different disciplines as well as the reputation, efficiency and profitability of these disciplines.
The Vice President, Fixed Operations will steward the organization’s Operations strategies and deliver best in class product support to customers.
The incumbent is responsible to provide ongoing assessment and monitoring to determine the effectiveness of various business tactics, they must maintain comprehensive knowledge of customers, consumer insights and various tools.
This individual develops plans to capitalize on identified opportunities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Be a visible and outspoken role model for the company culture.
Provide the vision for the Parts, Service, Procurement and Agriculture departments.
Work closely with and develop the GM of Parts, GM of Service, Procurement Manager and Manager of Agriculture to advance and establish strategies and programs, execute programs, ensure synergies, and drive P&L.
Manage overall strategic vision of Fixed Operations.
Continuously develop relationships with individuals throughout the entire organization.
Monitor daily, monthly, quarterly and annually results
Set strategic plan for Fixed Operations to meet market demand, and ensure corporate targets are met / exceeded
Communicate issues, concerns, trends and competitive information from the field to corporate staff.
Ensure collaboration between departments is seamless
Act as coach and mentor to Fixed Operations middle management
Establish and monitor department performance, provide feedback around deliverables and core competencies. Develop goals, assign accountabilities and establish priorities
Delegate and select qualified individuals for appropriate roles
Follow through and execute on the company’s strategy / 5-year plan
Promote culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality
Provide oversight and evaluation to existing initiatives for operational effectiveness and provide direction congruent with strategic objectives outlined by senior leadership
Bachelor of Management degree or related field preferred.
15+ years of proven leadership experience. Preferably for an agricultural or industrial machinery enterprise environment.
Solid knowledge of technical aspects of agriculture and industrial equipment.
Deep knowledge of technical aspects of Parts, Service, Procurement and Agricultural Optimization.
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
True Business to Business Knowledge
Superior skills in enhancing organic growth objectives but also expansionary growth for Parts and Service
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
Detail oriented and in-depth understanding of superior customer service
P&L and Budgeting knowledge for Parts, Service, Procurement and Agricultural groups.
Superlative ability to identify and select senior managers within the complex to ensure cohesiveness and teamwork
Strategic forward-looking long-term industry thinker
