Why join us? leading a team to define and deliver the overall direction for the Travel and Non-travel rewards catalogue assortment such that it provides value to collectors.

The catalogue will deliver a competitive and engaging Rewards product assortment, pricing strategies and promotions, inclusive of Travel, Retail and AM CASH rewards and resulting in enhanced collector engagement in the program (earn) while delivering the financial objectives.

The role has accountability for managing the relationship and contract management / administration across suppliers and key partnerships.

In addition, the team is accountable for the on-line merchandising of the non-Travel rewards catalogues. On an annual basis, this portfolio is accountable for optimizing and delivering against the $500MM in cost of goods and generate over $80MM in surplus and driving Issuance to meet Targets.

What you will do Reward Redemption

Articulate and lead the strategic planning work of the rewards catalogue assortment and experience, inclusive of AM Cash, Travel, Retail, Merchandise, L&E, and new formats and categories, resulting execution of the 1-

3 year roadmap to deliver a best in class and engaging value proposition for assigned portfolios.

Work with Collector Experience Analysts and Software analysts to ensure adequate reporting protocols / controls are in place to monitor results, by reporting against financial performance and by adjusting , merchandising, programs and fulfillment strategies as needed.

Develop, grow and create new and existing relationships with key vendors and partners to attain optimal product, service, pricing and terms during contract negotiations.

Reward Issuance

Articulate and lead the strategic planning to drive Issuance -includes new partnerships tools, resources and approaches resulting execution of the 1-

3 year roadmap to deliver a best in class and engaging value proposition for assigned portfolios

Develop, grow and create new and existing relationships with key vendors and partners to attain optimal opportunities for Collector to earn miles

Work with Collector Experience Analysts and Software analysts to ensure adequate reporting protocols / controls are in place to monitor results, by reporting against financial performance and measure performance against goal

On-line Merchandising

Support the creation of a robust user experience on airmiles.ca and mobile that drives collector engagement and the experience from the category.

This includes enhancing available content so a collector can make an informed redemption / purchase and entice them to continue engaging with the program.

Maintain a balance of collector engagement vs redemption (curated to guide collector behaviour)

Drive growth of online initiatives (current & new partners) that generate revenue

Training & Communication

Support the collaboration across AMRP to create strategies that deliver engaging, creative and multimedia training solutions for both multiple customer groups and delivery channels.

The portfolio includes creating methods and standards for operations, instructional design and training delivery and results measurements.

Training includes online / offline, technical and interpersonal.

Take a disciplined and systematic approach to reinforce a culture of performance through 2X year MOR meetings, quarterly feedback sessions with staff on performance vs.

KPO targets and drive change down into the organization with appropriate measures; develop and maintain a rigorous performance management model to reinforce and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Find, hire and retain key talent - develop the team and ensure that successors are in place. Continuous talent management with close attention to cultural fit against emerging business needs.

This is completed by actively identifying high performers, identifying career pathing for all roles (lateral movement and vertical movement), utilizing best practices in conjunction with the HR team

Who you are

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business or related program(s)

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business or related program(s)

Minimum of 7 years of directly related work experience in a business role that involves a strong business, Financial acumen

Minimum of 5 years of Supervisory / Management experience

Travel and Loyalty Management Experience
