Director of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy
Full-time employment based in Canmore, Alberta)
Director of E-commerce & Digital Strategy is a key leader in the organization who supports their team while driving our growth strategy for our e-commerce platform.
The Director collaborates with the Director, Marketing, Communication & Brand to develop digital strategies and plans to drive business growth and ensure brand consistency all while ensuring an amazing customer journey on our e-commerce platform across desktops, tablets and mobiles.
In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on all things digital while being an amazing mentor and coach to your team.
Develop and lead the E-Commerce vision and strategy, collaborating with key departments to ensure alignment and successful integration;
Lead a team through demonstration of core values, coaching and setting clear a strategic vision;
Maintain accountability for setting and delivering on sales goals, metrics and KPIâ€™s;
Strong understanding of online customer behaviour in order to optimize the customer journey leading to an increase in customer interaction, conversion and sales performance;
Monitor digital advertising campaigns on all channelsâ€ working with SEO, search, analytics, content, website optimization and product placement;
Ensures collaboration with Marketing, Shipping, Retail, Finance and Production departments to deliver on strategic plans and KPIâ€™s;
Collaboration with Marketing Department on digital marketing strategy and online brand presence to maximize results;
Increase online profitability without using sales, coupons or discount tactics;
Leverage data currently available from online marketing metrics; email and campaign performance to make better business decisions and pivoting strategies as necessary;
Maintain site content to create an online experience that anticipates customer needs and exceeds their expectations through customer experience / service, ease of journey, functionality, product descriptions and imagery to drive revenue;
Manage full spectrum of departmental budget, ensuring profitability and ROI of sales / marketing tactics;
Minimum 7 - 10 yearsâ€™ experience developing successful online businesses in E-Commerce or digital marketing;
Experience leading and coaching a small team to achieve results;
Education in a related field Marketing, Business, E-commerce or equivalent experience;
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in web production, site operations, app integration, UI / UX, features and functionalities;
Strong knowledge of SEM, SEO, email delivery, affiliate (CPA and non-search CPC) and display (CPM) advertising channels and their metrics;
Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon;
Familiarity with sampling and customer loyalty programs;
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and is comfortable making decisions and being accountable for results, with little guidance or oversight;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to share ideas, influence and collaborate to ensure maximum results.
