Engineer / Senior Engineer - Building Mechanical

Responsibilities

  • Perform design and develop drawings and specifications for ventilation, air conditioning, heating and cooling, plumbing and fire protection systems
  • Determine construction costs and quantities, in compliance with standardized methods and established drawings and specifications
  • Conduct studies and write technical reports
  • Solve technical problems that require research and in-depth analysis
  • Prepare professional fees budgets and ensure follow-up;
  • Write proposals
  • Prepare technical specifications
  • Prepare work cost estimates
  • Conduct work supervision (if required)
  • Write reports on work status and contribute to the development of the action plan
  • Make recommendations regarding payment of completed works
  • Supervise the work of less experienced engineers or technicians
  • Lead multidisciplinary projects
  • Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent;
  • Member of the OIQ (Corporation of Quebec Engineers)
  • Knowledge of standards and codes governing building mechanical systems
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in this field of expertise
  • LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable development and energy efficiency principles an asset
  • Ability to have an overall vision of projects
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Mastery of the French language, both spoken and written
  • Mastery of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
