What You Will Do :

  • Be accountable for thedevelopment and implementation of targeted strategies, customer campaigns andtactics at the grower and channel level
  • Function as a key collaborator with Marketing, Commercial Unit Sales,Key Account Management (KAM) and Technical Services teams to ensure campaignsand tactics are effective for targeted customer segments, aligned with channelstrategy & driven by segmentation and aligned with overall territorystrategy
  • Provide interpretation of market dynamicsand market intelligence to develop deep understanding of channel, grower andcompetition by micro-market
  • Lead the collaborative development ofselling messages and value story by brand and crop for the 18 month cycle
  • Support market analysis for competitivepositioning and competitive reactions
  • Develop the objectives and strategies toachieve the Must Wins by micro market
  • Establish andtrack agreed-to market share and contribution objectives
  • Execute a Customer Campaign service modelto support Sales and KAM in effectively delivering business results
  • Who You Are :

  • A strong negotiator with the ability to makepersuasive arguments, build credibility and rapport with key stakeholders
  • A creative problem solver, someone who enjoysfinding the best solution, which is not always the easiest or the quickest
  • Well organized and analytical, able to managemultiple projects at once
  • Known for your leadership and ability to workwith cross functional and diverse teams
  • You Have :

  • 4 year degree in Agriculture or Business or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the agriculture industry
  • Strategic selling and / or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Eastern Canadian agriculture including agronomic, seed and crop protection products, markets and practices
  • Knowledge of communication principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of market dynamics, segmentation, competitive environment and ability to use market research effectively to understand customer, markets and channels
  • The ability to travel at least 25%
  • You Might Also Have :

  • Knowledge of principles of marketing including campaign and crop plans, CRM, account management, and long-term valuation
  • Knowledge of financial and general accounting principles
