The Senior Talent Acquisition (TA) Advisor will manage full-cycle recruitment for GWL Realty Advisors across the country (from Vancouver to Halifax!) This won’t be your typical recruitment role.
You will own the recruitment process from beginning to end, act as a brand ambassador and be the face of recruitment for GWL Realty Advisors.
Aligning our strategic business objectives and core values to the recruitment process, you will act as an internal consultant to hiring managers, collaborate on a hiring strategy and execute in creative ways.
You should be comfortable doing your own sourcing but be passionate about building a strong network pipeline.
Through the talent acquisition lens, you will work with the internal team to develop, implement and promote recruitment strategies and programs that positively influence the caliber of candidates we attract and hire.
Your passion for talent management allows you to create postings with flare and your exceptional communication skills help tell the story of the culture at GWL Realty Advisors.
You quickly understand the requirements of a search and can match opportunities with excellent candidates. You are comfortable with multiple searches on a national level.
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, you will help build talent management through :
Full cycle recruitment in a fast-paced environment, dealing with multiple hiring managers and priorities. Providing recruitment metrics and recommending areas of improvement for the recruitment cycle.
Evaluating best use for applicant system to for process improvements.
Creating, developing and delivering talent acquisition solutions to source, attract and hire the best talent to meet the company’s business needs and diversity practices.
Working collaboratively with HR Business Partners and HR Advisors to engage with business leaders and managers, understand their recruitment needs, and develop recruitment strategies to anticipate talent requirements.
Tapping into pipelines of talent with external organizations and associations, universities and colleges and top external talent;
all in alignment with established recruitment strategies.
Sourcing candidates through social networks, recruitment portals and other tools.
Building and maintaining a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management, conduct in-depth interviews with candidates and demonstrate the ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences.
Working with business leaders and people leaders as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, educating stakeholders on the recruitment process, interview techniques and selection criteria, and managing the flow and quality and candidates.
Posting jobs, prescreening resumes to develop the best candidate pool and following up with appropriate paperwork including payroll documentation.
Evaluating and improving the Summer Student / Internship Program. Initiate networking events to create a continuous flow of potential candidates.
Work with the Digital Specialist to incorporate social media in various programs as much as possible.
Qualifications and Competencies :
5+ years as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Ideal education includes a post-secondary Degree / Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred
Certification in recruitment is an asset- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR)
Experience in candidate generation and assessment through a variety of channels including, passive sourcing, referral campaigns, database mining
Strong capability in assessing, hiring, developing and coaching talent
Demonstrated capability in recruiting for a wide variety of roles (primarily for non-IT roles)
Experience thriving in a fast paced, high volume environment
Experience building effective and innovative talent sourcing strategies
Expertise in Applicant Tracking Systems is a requirement.
Self-starter who is full of ideas, ready to jump into action and can proactively search for opportunities to reach candidates and build our brand creatively.

Bilingual in French is an asset
