TheField Infusion / Injection Nurse (Field Nurse) provides specializedinfusion / injection therapies and nursing services to oncology, auto-

immune andrare disease patients in outpatient

clinics or homecare settings. Effective coordination and communications play anessential part in servicing patients, care givers and our clients.

Thisposition offers patients and healthcare providers with continuous education andsupport with regard to the diseases and therapies they are managmg.

PRIMARY DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :

Administermedications (IV, 1M and SC) in the patient's home or specialty clinics setting

Monitorpost-injection / infusion treatments as well as chart and report on allactivities as directed by program protocols

Providepatient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups

Regular,predictable availability to meet appointment scheduling needs in an efficientand cost effective manner to provide patients with quick access to necessarytherapies

Coordinatedaily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling and otherdepartments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments,treatments, and communication of information

Participateregularly in telephone consultations and / or web based meetings / trainingsessions with the District Manager to share information, and uphold professionalpractice standards

Consultwith physicians, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients regarding educationand implementation of product specific programs

Adhereto professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associationsand the company

Workcollaboratively within multidisciplinary health care team providing oversightand delegation of applicable tasks to RPN / LPN as authorized by provincialcollege of nurses

Performrelated duties and tasks as required

Qualifiedregistered nurse (valid provincial license from the College ofNurses)

Healthcareprovider CPR certificate required

Minimum3 years experience as a Registered Nurse

1year of regular IV initiation and infusion experience

Experiencein a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient / outpatient or homecaresetting are considered assets

ACLS,CVAA Certification, and central venous lines / port experience are consideredassets

Proficientin MS Excel, Outlook (e-mail), and MS Word

Accessto a home computer with an internet connection, printer, fax machine, and cell phonefor making and confirming appointments / assignments

Flexibilityin order to provide services for pre-scheduled and occasional last minutepatient appointment requests

Excellentcustomer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and our clients

Strongwritten and verbal communication skills

Ableto work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger remote team

Ableto travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographicalboundary

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS :

Advancedknowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry

Workingknowledge of automated warehouse operating system

Strongbusiness and financial acumen

Stronganalytical and mathematical skills

Abilityto communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Effectiveinterpersonal and leadership skills

Effectiveorganizational skills; attention to detail

Abilityto consistently meet deadlines

Excellentproblem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

Excellentpresentation skills

Knowledgeof Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs

Holdand maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license
