Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities : -Communicate with the Environmental, Safety, & Health (ES&H) policies and procedures to staff -

Formulate and implement strategy to ensure effectiveness and facility compliance with ES&H policies and procedures -Strongly and visibly support the ES&H policies and procedures to plant personnel nu initiating all communication and meetings with a consideration of ES&H activities concerns and status -

Participate in ES&H committee meetings and other appropriate forums -Incorporate ES&H performance metrics into all plant personnel’s performance reviews -

Encourage, support and highlight all ES&H rewards and recognition efforts and achievements -Develop projects and budgetary requirements that will improve performance in achieving ES&H metrics and objectives Job Duties and Responsibilities : -

Ensure that site assets are operated in the most cost effective, responsible and reliable manner -Manage and coach site operators, maintenance and contractors -

Maintain working environment that fosters a high degree of participation and team work from all employees -Manage site period costs and capital budgets in concert with site operators -

Monitor process operations and product & raw material inventories -Continually evaluate site processes for cost effectiveness and upgrade as required -

Ensure that the collective agreement is administered effectively and cooperatively -Manage responsible care activities for the site ensuring that risks are minimized for site employees and the surrounding community -

Ensure site environmental management systems are in place, functional and permit and licensing requirements are met -Ensure that site assets are maintained to reduce the risk of lost business through equipment reliability or the risk of safety and environmental incidents -

Manage quality systems for the site ensuring that quality products are produced -Participate in regional committees representing company in a professional manner -

Act as a site liaison for community relations and community outreach initiatives related to the Prince George plant REQUIREMENTS -

Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work in Canada -Mechanical, Chemical Engineer, or Engineering Technologist with 3-

5 years of experience or equivalent work related experience preferred but operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered -

Valid Driver’s License -Emergency Response training courses in accordance with company policy Work Environment : Must be able to perform under the following conditions : -

Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -

Employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 -pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds -

Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision -Employee must be physically capable of spending long hours outdoors and occasionally work in -

protected clothing and equipment -Ability to climb stairs and ladders (including vertical)
