The Telecommunications Estimator & Project Manager is responsible for taking pre bid concepts to a finished state, and determining the cost and duration of a project.
This includes identification of risk as well as potential revenue.
Duties include but are not limited to :
Analyze drawings and specifications.
Assist in determining and soliciting project to bid.
Visit job site or contact engineer and attend pre-bid meeting.
Preparation of cost estimates (labour, equipment, materials, subcontractor, other misc. costs).
Solicit quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
Review subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Prepare post-bid documents for the archiving of unsuccessful bids.
Preparation of charge orders / invoices / Purchase Orders.
Produce final overview of total job costs to be used as a reference for future projects.
Qualifications and Skills :
Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or estimation.
Mathematical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret blueprints
Ability to manage multiple projects
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel
Compensation : Based on experience.
