We are looking for a highly motivated Consultant, REM Learning and Leadership to join our Talent Management and People Analytics team in Toronto.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Manager, Learning and Development, the position is responsible for diagnosing learning needs, designing and delivering REM learning solutions that contribute to engaging, developing and retaining talent at OMERS.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for :

  • Design and develop courseware (ILT, eLearning) using standard instructional design tools, processes and methodologies.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate classroom workshops, tutorials and information sessions to all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate in-classroom and WebEx learning sessions, including logistics and materials
  • Evaluate and measure business impact of L&D offerings and presenting recommendations to HRBP and business leaders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with HR business partners, vendors and all levels of the organization in order to understand the needs of the business, and bring a level of consistency across the enterprise.
  • Administer and update our Learning Management System, SharePoint, vendor contracts and other administrative duties as required.
  • To succeed in this role, you have :

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in HR or Learning and Development related role. Experience working in a Centre of Excellence is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree and / or the equivalent combination of education / experience / training.
  • Solid working knowledge of adult learning and instructional design processes and theories (ILT, eLearning, social, mobile and blended).
  • Consulting skills with a customer-focused mindset including internal client-facing skills aimed at determining the business needs, perceived roadblocks and work environment issues.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding the impact of training on overall performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, Adobe Captivate, SharePoint and Learning Management Systems (i.e. Saba).
  • Willing to work and collaborate well within a team as well as independently.
