This position will be reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Manager in the surface finishing area. The Engineering specialist will be accountable for ensuring all the chemical processes are meeting the engineering requirements.
They will trouble shoot and rectify if the chemical composition deviates from the specification. They will be first line of support for trouble shooting plating issues in the area.
They will work closely with M&PT and MRB group to answer QNs from surface finishing process. The engineer will work to do RCCA for issues arising in the chemical process.
The engineer will be responsible for handling day-to-day technical issues associated with running a chemical process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsibility will generally focus on Chemical Processing, Surface Engineering, HVOF and chemical testing.
Support review of internal manufacturing plans and techniques sheets before submission to M&PT
Develop and improve standard work for maintaining our processes in surface finishing
Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary problem solving teams using RRCA techniques.
Support in production engineering through review of drawing revisions, advising MRB on material and process related discrepancies.
Identify and procure required equipment to maintain and standardize stability in processed
Support Quality during NADCAP and other audits covering the chemical and surface processes.
Support product and process improvements.
Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred
Minimum 2-5 years of previous experience in a similar capacity
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
Can interface effectively with all levels of the organization, suppliers and customers.
Demonstrate proactive problem solving and self-directed behavior
Drives improvements to existing processes.
Contributes to department by applying their knowledge and experience.
