We are looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the design, installation and administration of the corporate enterprise WAN / LAN / IPT, Wireless and Security technologies.

You will be responsible for the overall health and monitoring of our entire networking infrastructure and provide the highest level of inter-office connectivity and uptime.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in the long and short term planning and implementation of future IT initiatives.

Based out of our Vancouver office, you will travel up to 10% to provide support for systems at remote office locations.

What you will do :

  • Design, implement and maintenance of core LAN / WAN connectivity between all enterprise locations.
  • Develop and implement strategies based on needs and requirements by other functional areas of the business.
  • Develop and implement best practice security policies for 800+ users.
  • Ownership of the enterprise corporate wireless / wired infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the content delivery technologies across all protocols and services such as DNS, SMTP, FTP, DHCP, SIP, etc.
  • Responsible for voice, video and collaboration integrations with Cisco Room Kits / WebEx.
  • Research and implement new and emerging technologies beneficial to the company’s IT environment.
  • Work closely with the cyber security team to conduct security audits on the corporate network.
  • Asset management for all network infrastructure equipment.
  • Identifying, documenting, and creation of the appropriate administrative processes and procedures for all critical networking infrastructure.
  • Backup support and administration and maintenance for all networking gear : Cisco / Meraki routers and switches, VoIP, Cisco Collaboration Devices.
  • On-call support for escalations on critical core equipment.
  • Install and maintain back end physical security systems.
  • Troubleshoot physical security devices such as cameras, entry phones and access control devices.
  • Manage network monitoring software and ensure assets are being appropriately monitored.
  • What you have :

  • Minimum 4 years post-secondary technical training; degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a senior network engineer.
  • Expert abilities with Cisco and Meraki products and technologies including various Meraki switch models, Nexus 9K enterprise switches, ASA devices, Meraki access points.
  • Experience troubleshooting wireless technologies on 2.4 and 5Ghz bands.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve internetworking issues with regards to voice, video and other technologies across our network infrastructure.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of all routing protocols with an emphasis on BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, RIPv2 and OSPF.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting WAN links with technologies such as GRE / IPSec, DMVPN and MPLS.
  • Working knowledge of unicast, multicast.
  • Strong understanding of IT Security concepts.
  • Who you are :

  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, specifically the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to provide technical training to other network engineers.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Required to provide after hours on call support and be available outside of regular working hours to implement changes to the corporate network..
