JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS) is a general insurance (GI) business that provides insurance solutions for large corporate and specialty products for commercial entities.

Its core product lines are Property, Casualty, Auto, Surety, and Equipment Breakdown (EBI). We have a new opportunity in our GCS Business Program Management Office (BPMO), we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team.

Reporting to the GCS Program Manager, you will be a critical member of the GCS BPMO and responsible for process analysis, optimization and requirements that support the transformational portfolio and growth of GCS.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES :

  • Independently lead current / future state analysis of complex business processes spanning across
  • multiple business areas and disciplines
  • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities across all segments of GCS Canada
  • Assess business issues / challenges and recommend alternative solutions
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and document business requirements for new and
  • existing applications
  • Identify impacts on business processes based on detailed solutions and strategies Ensure smooth knowledge transfer of business processes and system changes for procedural
  • documentation and training
  • Assist in establishing department SLAs, track to ensure they are consistently met and
  • recommend adjustments as appropriate
  • Prepare UAT plans, cases and coordinate test execution activity
  • Lead Junior and Intermediate Business Analysts
  • Provide estimates for all assigned tasks and report on progress appropriately
  • Ensure delivery of work meets stakeholder satisfaction through best practices in project management, business analysis and change management
  • MUST HAVES :

  • 7 + years as experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance / Underwriting industry.
  • Experience with process mapping , work flow diagrams and process documentation (project charter, risk analysis, communication notes, policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of Visio, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access?
  • NICE TO HAVES :

  • CBAP or PBA certifications
  • Expertise and Skills

  • Business Analysis, Business Analyst 5 - 7 years
  • Business Analysis, Process Analysis 5 - 7 years
  • Priority Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years : Please provide examples of your experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance / Underwriting industry.
