Under the general supervision of the Location Manager and within established policies, procedures and guidelines provides Janitorial Cleaning Services in all areas of buildings within the Culinary Services Department.
The equipment frequently used in this position are; mops, buckets, brooms, motorized floor buffers and polishers, dollies, various cleaning chemicals and products. .
Table Rock Quick Serve is looking for two (2) Part-time Janitors for the 2020 season.
Education : Completion of a Secondary School Diploma or the equivalent knowledge or experience; knowledge of cleaning and maintenance methods, materials and mechanical cleaning equipment;
knowledgeable of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Education : Able to follow verbal instructions and work independently, ability to perform physical duties of the job and willingness to work shift work;
good communication skills and ability to deal with the public with courtesy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sweeps, mops, disinfects, waxes and polishes floors; cleans basins, toilets, mirrors and disposes garbage as required.
Fills liquid soap containers and hand towel stations throughout all areas of the restaurant as needed.
Maintains the cleanliness of Dining Room and Office areas through dusting furniture and fixtures, vacuums carpets, replaces lightbulbs, sweeps and mops as required
Cleans entrance door windows to restaurants as required.
Cleans and maintains all public washrooms (male and female) to set NPC Standards.
Cleans and maintains kitchen areas as assigned (floors, walls, garbage containers, sinks, cooking areas, etc) as assigned
Removes boxes and garbage from building as required.
Assists in moving tables, chairs and other equipment during set up for functions and catering events as required.
Assists in the set-up and tear down of seasonal restaurant locations-i.e. moving tables, chairs, equipment as necessary.
Provides snow shovelling of sidewalks, entrances, etc as well as sweeping stairs and entrances throughout winter season.
OTHER RELATED DUTIES
Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, AGCO Regulations, Recycling Program, and established Policies and Procedures
Provides guests with information regarding NPC Attractions and Events.
Promotes a positive image of the Niagara Parks Commission
Provides quality customer service that meets NPC Standards
Other duties as assigned by Manager or designate
