Bachelorof Science inNursing;
RegisteredNurse Extended Class(EC);
Memberof Registered Nurses Association of Ontario;
Memberof Nurse Practitioners Association ofOntario;
Minimumof two (2) years recent clinical experience in an acute caresetting working with medically complex older adults where strong skills have been developed in autonomous decisionmaking;
Minimumof two (2) years of experience in working as a NursePractitioner;
Experiencein an acute setting where strong skills have been developed inautonomous decision making (ie : Emergency Department, Northern or underservicedarea);
Demonstratedthe ability to respond appropriately to rapidly changing clinicalconditions;
Demonstratescurrent understanding of acute and geriatricprinciples;
Demonstratesknowledge of principles and issues related to the delivery of acuteepisodic care in LTCsetting;
Demonstratesa commitment to continuing education;
Demonstratesexperience and willingness to actively participate in buildingcapacity in the LTCsetting;
Expertisein advanced heath assessment, diagnosis and clinicalprocedures;
Demonstratesthe ability to work collaboratively and communicate (in oraland written formats) effectively as an active member of the healthcareteam;
Experienceworking with word processing, spreadsheet and databaseapplications;
Mustbe eligible to work inCanada.

PostBasic Certificate inGerontology;
Mastersdegree in Nursing or in a relateddiscipline;
