We are seeking a highly motivated mid-market Tax and / or ERP Business Systems Analyst with 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing add-
ons in support of our mid-market ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration's.
Your key responsibility will be supporting tax integration processes between ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination and mid-
market ERP systems. You will work with both internal and external parties (consulting and implementation partners, customers and prospects) to design integration solutions, implementation strategies, training materials and best practices.
You will provide domain expertise in tax scenarios, ERP systems, and business processes in support of building clearly defined business requirements and converting them into competitive, robust and flexible designs.
This position is unique as you will be exposed to many aspects and areas of ERP systems and tax providing a mix of responsibilities.
Job responsibilities include :
Work closely with other Business Systems Analysts, Development, Quality Assurance, and Tax Research to drive functional designs.
Review and analyze existing integration's and business processes and develop approaches for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Provide ERP and / or Tax domain know-how.
Work closely with development partners in building robust solutions.
Prepare detailed Functional Specification documentation with use cases, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents to explain requirements internally and externally.
Support the product development process, working closely with Development, QA and Documentation teams throughout the whole product life cycle, validating feature functionality, as well as preparing the rest of the organization for product release.
Assist with end-user documentation, process flows, specifications, and diagrams to provide direction to customers, partners and professional services, and support teams.
Become familiar with ERP application configuration settings and options of at least two ERP systems.
Maintain a solid working relationship with all departments within the organization, including Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, Professional Services and Tax Research and partner relations.
Support product roll-outs and implementations as domain expert and / or primary business interface to other parties.
Follow product into the field to ensure customer success, providing business and data integration expertise to customers, partners and internal professional services personnel as needed.
Assist in providing 3rd level support and training to Customer Support, Professional Services, and integration partners.
Job and work experience requirements :
Bachelors in Business Administration or Computer Science or equivalent work experience; formal education in accounting / finance is desired.
Previous work experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP a must (Dynamics AX or 365 Finance and Operations or Dynamics GP).
Familiarity with standard accounting and G / L functionality.
At least 3-5 years of experience combining analysis, design, configuration, and systems implementations.
Ability to collaborate and brainstorm with other team members in a dynamic environment
Strong planning, organization, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
Strong analytical and design skills.
Previous work with US Sales and Use tax highly desired.
Experience driving quality of complex features with lots of dependencies
Testing skills and the desire and ability to find great bugs before our customers and partners do
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good problem-solving capabilities.
Possesses a professional and cooperative attitude.
Self- starter who works well both independently and on a team.
