This position is based in our Dartmouth, NS office.
Qualifications & Skills :
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Science in a field related to hardware, software and / or digital technologies or equivalent technical diploma and experience
8-10+ years of experience in related fields
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearances
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes :
Developing Fleetway’s data management plans and strategy, developing the business plan and implementing the recommended strategy;
Working with our corporate partners (ISI and JDI ITD) to ensure the data management plan and strategy are aligned with our client and corporate interests;
Designing Fleetway’s digital innovation plan and strategy with a business case that supports it;
Implementing Fleetway’s digital innovation plans and strategy;
Working with the Senior Management Team to seek digital innovation solutions and improve the efficiency of business processes;
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with JDI-ITD to ensure business objectives are well represented within the corporation;
Working with Fleetway’s HR personnel to develop change management plans, training and job aids to ensure that the workforce is ready and able to utilize the company’s software suite;
Working with corporate and private sector partners to implement an integrated data environment in support of the company’s contractual deliverables;
Acting as the Fleetway IDE Manager responsible for governance of all aspects of the implementation of integrated data environments;
Overseeing the development and production of documents and deliverables to the customer, including, but not limited to, Ship’s Manuals, Systems Manuals, Technical Publications and Maintenance plans and schedules.
Other data and production related duties include the oversight of CMDM and Publications; as well as the provision of expertise and support where / when required;
Coordinating work and resources / plan staffing levels with Fleetway Directors to ensure that the work is evenly distributed within your team, the appropriate people are being assigned to the work at hand and ensuring we are adequately staffed to support data and digital innovation.
