Human Factors Engineer

Are you a Human Factors Engineer looking to join a growing and stable team in an exciting 12 month contract, full time hours opportunity?

Monday to Friday, DAY shift in the London, Ontario area

  • Responsibilities and Duties;
  • Collaborate with design teams to include Human Factors Engineering (HFE) / ergonomic input into vehicle design development
  • Conduct HFE analyses to support recommendations for design changes
  • Evaluate customer requirements for HFE and determine vehicle compliance
  • Support System Engineering Department in development of the System Specification Document
  • Plan and conduct HFE testing, as required, to determine compliance to contract and / or System Specification Document
  • Generate Human Factors Engineering reports
  • Requirements

  • University Degree in Systems Design Engineering, Human Factors, or Ergonomics
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HFE / ergonomics as it applies to product design
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • Professional certification in Human Factors / Ergonomics (ie : CCCPE, BCPE)
  • Experience in Human Factors / Ergonomics in product design
  • Proficiency with Human 3-D Modeling Software
  • Familiarity with Human System Integration philosophy & tasking
  • Familiarity with User Centered Design philosophy and approaches
  • Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess / be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
