Profile Our client is a well-established wholesale distributor of building materials mainly to general contractors and millworkers who are involved in residential and commercial projects in Western Canada.

They are currently looking for a new Outside Sales Representative who will be responsible for pursuing new business while maintaining relationships with existing customers.

This individual will be taking over a very well-established territory and will be focusing on increasing company revenue by upselling as well as closing new deals.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to professionally interact with customers, provide technical presentations and focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.

Profile Responsibilities

  • Service existing accounts and prospect for new ones
  • Create and deliver sales presentations
  • Submit orders and follow up on them
  • Monitor competition and understand market trends
  • Solve customers issues
  • Maintain product knowledge in order to provide outstanding customer service
  • Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience, ideally in the building materials industry
  • Post-secondary education highly preferred
  • Strong business development and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, goal-oriented
