Brandt Tractor Ltd. is currently seeking a Machine Monitoring Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a proactive approach to maintenance by utilizing the latest technologies and available equipment data to provide recommendations that allow our customers to optimize their fleets.

Our monitoring software allows multiple data sources to be analyzed and interpreted by a team of MMS’s. This position is a key liaison with customers, partners and suppliers for Brandt.

This position is a great opportunity for experienced technicians with an aptitude for technology, or individuals with a technology background and an aptitude for mechanical systems.

To prepare for success in the role, the MMS will be provided training in various condition monitoring methods and have access to a wide variety of Brandt and John Deere training courses.

Responsibilities of a Machine Monitoring Specialist are, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Monitor alerts received from machines through various software
  • Investigate and research machine activity and provide recommendation of action
  • Effectively communicate the appropriate actions to the Service Departments or customers via telephone, e-mail or ticketing system
  • Follow up on previous recommendation to ensure problem resolution and identify learning opportunities
  • Provide health fleet reports to convey value provided.
  • Required Skills

  • Knowledge of the heavy equipment & dealership service departments
  • Strong background in computer applications and analytics
  • Ability to read & understand the technical data sources available
  • Ability to filter and correlate the different data source to create an accurate recommendation.
  • Knowledge of machine application, design, functionality and understanding the environmental effect on the equipment performance
  • Working knowledge of engines, powertrain, hydraulics, electronic system, and telematics.
  • Understanding effective inspection process and equipment lifecycle planning
  • Knowledge of Fluid Analysis interpretation
