Senior Specialist, Institutional Marketing
Responsible for developing and editing responses to RFPs, RFIs and Due Diligence Questionnaires for Global Custody, Fund Accounting and ancillary services for Northern Trust Canada.
Develop promotional materials to support the business unit sales and marketing efforts, including the development of marketing and sales materials.
Coordinates public relations releases and responds to written inquiries on institutional trust products and services to the sales team.
Conducts surveys, analyzes competitor data, reports results, and makes recommendations for improving the bank's competitive posture.
1.Responsible for all RFPs, RFIs and Due Diligence Questionnaires on C&IS products and services for Northern Trust Canada.
2.Peer review of RFP work across North America, EMEA and APAC regions and review of RFP work completed for Canadian market by International RFP Team.
Examine opportunities to convert text based responses to visuals. Look for opportunities to differentiate Northern Trust’s offering.
3.Training and guidance to International RFP Team around positioning and differentiation.
4.Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
5.Participate and contribute to the Canada Marketing group to create effective messages relating to targetedcampaigns and Thought Leadership.
6.Coordinates the collection, analysis, and reporting of competitor data; reports results and recommends new marketing strategies that will improve the bank's competitive posture.
7. Creates and publishes internal newsletter.
8.Create 4 industry thought leadership articles.
9. Responds to inquiries from clients, client prospects, or consultants regarding the products or services.
10. Interacts with various areas of the bank, including trust operations, trust product areas, and public relations to gather data or research products to develop marketing strategies.
11.Participates in the development of company print, radio, or television advertising campaigns by developing materials and contacting appropriate outside agencies.

Knowledge / Skills
Strong creative writing, attention to detail and time management skills are key requirements for this role.Knowledge of business unit products and services, and marketing concepts usually acquired through related work experience to develop market approaches.
Minimum of 5 years of RFP writing, marketing or sales experience, including financial services experience.
