Job Level

NV-10As a Senior Advisor - Operational Risk, you are the ambassador of development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative.

Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential as you will interact with stakeholders of various academic backgrounds and titles.

You serve as specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach.

The position reports to the Vice President of Strategy, in the operations of Desjardins. As an Senior Advisor you will work closely within operations to support and integrate mandates for front line business partners.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities

Coordinate with fellow advisors in the positioning, planning, development, implementation and follow-up relating to strategic mandates under your responsibility in order to create value

Pilot operational risks analysis with Actuarial, Claims, and other business units of Desjardins Insurance

Target and analyze major issues and challenges. Establish diagnoses and make thoughtful recommendations to management

Represent the position of Desjardins Insurance within the Mouvement.

Other working conditions

Workplace : Position located in Lévis, Montreal or Aurora, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #Li-Hybrid

Number of jobs available : 1


Bachelor's degree in a business discipline (Business, Law, Actuarial, Engineering, other)

A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Risk and / or Commercial Insurance

Master's degree or graduate diploma (an asset)

Experience in landing programs or initiatives

For positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered

Specific Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of operational and process risks

Knowledge of best practices, methodologies and tools for risk management and governance

Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
