Key Responsibilities :

  • Completing end-of-day activities, including posting of all charges to correct accounts.
  • Running night audit backup and rolling all systems to the following day.
  • Processing all payments, including all in-house, room, cash, cheque, debit, and credit charges.
  • Processing adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
  • Balancing and dropping receipts according to Accounting specifications.
  • Handling all incoming telephone calls in absence of dedicated Switchboard Operator.
  • Performing all guest arrival and departure duties in an accordance with established Company standards and procedures.
  • Printing emergency lists and reports.
  • Performing additional duties, as assigned.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • One year of previous experience in a similar capacity within an upper-upscale hotel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail, maintaining a keen sense of urgency at all times.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and demonstrate exceptional customer service, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook, Opera Property Management System, and Micros.
  • Knowledge of WorkSafe, WHMIS, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs of a 24 / 7 hotel environment, Position specifically requires Friday & Saturday nights.
