Your opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Learning Consultant to join the Learning & Performance team. You can work from any of our offices across Canada and will own the following responsibilities :

  • Work closely with business leaders to design and deliver innovative learning strategies and programs within BDO’s learning curriculum.
  • Trusted advisor and works with our L&D Team and our broader Human Resources Team to deliver the BDO Talent Experience : Enabling Firm Professional Personal Success by successfully managing end-to-end program design and delivery.
  • Works closely with business leaders, SMEs and key stakeholders to understand business priorities, identify learning outcomes and provide learning advice as a subject matter expert.
  • Designs, develops and delivers integrated learning programs based on industry leading adult learning principles to enhance the learner experience and enable performance outcomes
  • Regularly analyzes and evaluates key learning programs and initiatives to enable achievement of firm, professional & personal success
  • Provides input into BDO’s learning & development strategy, priorities & initiatives
  • Leads & participates on assigned projects, including developing detailed work plans, compiling / leading project teams and providing regular status updates
  • Positions internal facilitators / SMEs for learning program delivery success
  • May facilitate various learning programs
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on current practices and emerging trends in instructional technology, educational policy, assessment of learning effectiveness, and blended and online learning

  • Y our experience and education

  • You have expert-level capabilities in performance consulting and instructional design to plan, design, and implement strategic firm-wide learning and development programs
  • You have the ability to establish and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders / teams and collaborate to achieve defined outcomes
  • You have expertise leveraging innovative learning technologies, such as social, mobile, micro-learning, and gamification
  • You have working knowledge of learning management systems (LMSs), eLearning authoring tools, and reporting dashboards as part of program reviews to track program KPIs
  • You have experience managing multiple projects with extensive coordination and a high attention to detail
  • You have a curious mindset, strong critical thinking, and sense-making skills to continuously drive innovation in our learning and performance practices
  • You have strong group facilitation and presentation skills at all levels
  • You have proficient knowledge of MS Office software applications
  • If you have experience in the professional services industry, it will be considered an asset
  • You have a minimum 5 years of experience in a Learning Advisor / Consultant role, with experience managing organization-wide programs
  • You have a relevant university business degree, preferably in Adult Education, Human Resources, or similar
