PURPOSE OF JOB
As Technical Product Management LEO, Maritime, you will define and manage technical product strategy, priorities and roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and drive cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle for the product targeting the maritime and cruise market.
You will collaborate with Customers / Partners and internal stakeholders such as Engineering, ales, and Business development to bring innovative services, and features to market using the Telesat LEO system.
This role requires strong leadership, technical, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate has a collaborative style, with a strong sense of urgency and desire to get things done, and flexibility to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead the maritime product portfolio, translating underlying trends from the market into product and service needs.
Provide critical interface to the rest of the engineering team to define the service requirements and service packages for different customer segments.
Working closely with Telesat sales and marketing teams to engage customer in all targeted market segments to better understand and validate technical requirements and features.
Develop, document and maintain product and services requirements and features roadmap
Work in close collaboration with Telesat business development team supporting opportunities and drive the detailed go-to-market plan, including coordination with sales, marketing and external partners.
Prepare technical inputs to marketing communications materials (whitepapers, etc.).
Create sales enablement materials for sales teams (training materials, fact sheets, etc.).
Support sales teams in customer engagement activities (presentations, demos, etc.).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in product management in maritime.
A degree in a relevant discipline, with a preference for electrical or computer engineering and an emphasis in communication systems
Recognized as a technical expert in developing complex systems / network architectures to satisfy customer and value-added resellers (VARs) needs
Demonstrated expertise in defining network solutions addressing customer needs related to Quality of Service (QoS), and defining Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Experience with Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) standard and SD-WAN is a plus
Strong analytical and research capabilities to evaluate opportunities and challenges and uncover new customer insights to improve product functionality and user experience.

In this role, the incumbent will issue recommendations and have influence on the evolution of the system design of the Telesat LEO system.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Normal office environment. Occasional travel, including international travel is anticipated.
The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
