We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Designer to be based in our Vancouver office and who are ready to provide design solutions for our mining and industrial projects.
Someone with strong design layout experience in the mineral processing sector will be well suited for this role.
Key responsibilities of this role :
Prepare mechanical layout and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating and supervising project members and reviewing deliverables.
Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback
Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
Comply with all of Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.
Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Mechanical Layout and design drafting of Mineral Processing Plants
Experience in layout design of crushing, materials handling, grinding, flotation, CIL / CIP, slurry pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification, separation and filtration would be highly regarded.
Experience in the use 3D design software; SmartPlant, AutoPLANT or PDS is required
Advanced diploma or equivalent in engineering technology or drafting
Experience in the development of layouts for studies and projects.
Knowledge of the mining and mineral processing market.
Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
Well-developed written and oral skills.
Willingness to travel when required.
