Job Purpose : The role of the Senior IT Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

The Senior IT Project Manager will also analyze business requirements to guide the definition of project objectives in conjunction with all project stakeholders and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle for all IT related project while being accountable to all functional areas within the Napoleon Group of Companies

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • Define IT project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze, gather and document project requirements.

  • Set and continually manage by effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and on an ongoing basis.
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, by negotiating with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company or external resources.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

    Education and Experience :

  • University or College Diploma in Computer Sciences or related field
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a project manager role. Business Analysis minimum 2 years. or 10 years in an IT consultative role.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio, Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook); strong knowledge of Enterprise software required.
  • Proven track record to work independently and within a team environment
