Job Requirements :
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below :
Degree, diploma or certification in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, Public Policy or Administration, or a related field;
AND minimum one year of related experience*.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience may include the following :
Conducting security assessments and / or privacy risk assessments from a business and technological standpoint.
Interpreting and applying applicable legislation, regulation, policies and standards relating to information security and / or privacy.
Experience in identifying and evaluating risks from a business and technological standpoint.
Conducting research and / or developing and implementing policies, processes and tools related to information security and / or privacy.
Developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
Experience with, and knowledge of, information management and / or information technology standards, procedures, and policies.
Preference may be given to applicants who have any of the following :
Experience with the applicable legislation, regulations, policy and standards related to information security and privacy for BC Government.
Certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), or equivalent (e.
g. CIPP / C, CAPPA) and / or other relevant training / certification.
Knowledge of all aspects of IT security including current technologies and best practices.
Knowledge of application design and development life cycle.
Knowledge of the installation, configuration, maintenance and problem resolution of hardware, software, operating systems and network components.
