Capital Mrkts Sales & Service
The successful candidate will be accountable to work in a team to develop and implement analytical tools for use by BMO Capital Markets front-office to manage exposures and make trading decisions.
Extensive software development and financial knowledge will be required for this challenge.
Help support front office traders in their use of trading platforms.
Maintenance and upgrading of existing software structure.
Interact and build relationships with various groups across the firm (trading desks, risk management, middle office, etc.).
Aggregating, organizing and analyzing market and trade data to facilitate a wide range of reporting, from high-level business overviews down to trade-level details.
Become familiar with in-house financial pricing library.
Troubleshoot and solve problems within a very short timeframe.
Keep abreast of BMO quantitative framework and front-office pricing developments.
Knowledge and Skills :
University degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or engineering.
Familiarity with database design and queries - Oracle / SQL, MS SQL Server and MongoDB
Web server development such as REST API, ASP.NET Core, Python Flask. GraphQL
Web front end framework such as React, D3
Understanding of financial pricing models and valuation of derivative products.
Familiarity with financial data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters).
Basic financial theory and risk management concepts.
Experience in a capital markets environment, ideally involving interaction with trading floor.
Able to exercise independent thought and judgment and adapt to new tasks with little notice.
Strong technical writing and business analysis capabilities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of colleagues. This includes other technical professionals, programmers, traders, senior management, mid / back office, and risk management.
Strong attention to detail is paramount.
