Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited Master’s level program in library and information studies
  • Strong service orientation and demonstrated commitment to user-centred library services.
  • Initiative, flexible attitude, ability to prioritize tasks and projects in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Strong presentation and teaching skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with faculty and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet or other specialized finance and accounting databases and software and a commitment to developing and maintaining expertise with these tools.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfortable with new technology and trouble-shooting.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience working as a business librarian.
  • An undergraduate degree in business and / or relevant professional business or finance certifications (e.g. Canadian Securities Course, CFA Level I)
  • Experience with social media, web and digital content design and / or development, and library communications.
  • Salary and Terms of Appointment

    This is a permanent status stream to be hired at the Librarian I / II rank. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic / professional qualifications.
