Responsibilities :
To instruct courses in the Architectural Technologies diploma program
Provide instruction to students enrolled in Architectural Technologies
Design and implement a student-centered learning environment using an outcome-based approach in either a face-to-face or online delivery mode
Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations using principles of adult learning
Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed
Use digital tools proficiently, including typical architectural software and general office applications
Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods
Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community
Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students
Be responsive to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners
Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience
Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements
Mentor students related to educational opportunities, industry expectations, and career goals
Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment
Follow organizational policies and procedures
Attend program and school meetings
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Architecture though an accredited program with the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB), or qualify as a Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect (BEFA
Registered Architect with the Saskatchewan Architect’s Association, or eligible to register
Five years of recent, relevant experience
Effective communication skills (written and oral)
Effective interpersonal skills
Effective instructional ability
Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of drafting software, graphic or visualization software, the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
Ability to work as a team member in an ever-changing environment
Demonstrates valuing diversity
