Brucejack Mine is a 3,800 tonnes-per-day high-grade gold underground mine located in northwestern British Columbia, approximately 65 kilometers north of Stewart.

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for 3 Mill Helpers to join the Brucejack Mine in Northwestern, British Columbia for a 6 Month Temporary Contract.

Located approximately 65 kilometers from Stewart, you will report to the Mill Operations Supervisor or designate, and work a rotating schedule encompassing 14 days on, 12 days off, 2 travel days and 11 hour days.

The purpose of the position is to support mill operations to ensure safe, effective and efficient operation of the processing plant, including sampling of concentrate loading production system, operation of mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid-steers, overhead crane operation and working in the underground crushing and conveying unit process.

The position also ensures compliance with all Pretium Resources lnc.'s "Pretivm" Health & Safety and other relevant policies and regulations.


Key duties include the following :

  • Safely and efficiently perform duties as outlined by supervision.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written).
  • Inform co-workers and supervisors of any recognized issues.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work areas.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and assist in all areas as required under the direction of operators.
  • Cleaning equipment for maintenance purposes as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Qualifications

    Position requirements include, but are not limited to :

  • Previous experience in an industrial environment would be an asset.
  • Willingness and able to be trained in the safe handling and mixing of reagents.
  • Willingness and able to be trained in sample preparation.
  • Willingness and able to perform duties using shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment and tools including the skilled use of water hoses for cleanup as required.
  • Willingness and able to be trained in the operation of fork lifts, skid steer loader and other mobile equipment relevant to the position requirements.
  • Participate in site specific training.
