Summary :

Reporting to the Regional ClinicalManager, you will be providing counselling services for MorneauShepell's Employee Assistance Program(EAP).

Responsibilities :

  • Provide short-termcounselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with variouspersonal issues that may or may not bework-related;
  • Evaluateclient needs and work with them to set objectives and develop astrategy to achieve them, within the terms and conditions of theclient’sEAP;
  • Provideexcellent clinical services and embrace Morneau Shepell’s cultureof continuouslearning;
  • Managethe administrative requirements as dictated by Morneau Shepell’sclinical models.

    Succeeding asan EAP Counsellor will require the following corequalifications andskills :

  • Master’sDegree in Counselling, Psychology, or SocialWork;
  • Ingood standing with a Professional College in Ontario (CPO, OCSWSSWor CRPO);
  • Minimumfive (5) years post-graduate counselling experience with multiplepopulations;
  • Abilityto set short term objectives and use a solution focusedapproach;
  • Abilityto clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who are athreat to self orothers;
  • Ableto work with individuals, couples and families and good knowledgeof communityresources;
  • Excellenttime-management skills with the ability to handle a large volume ofclients;
  • Excellentverbal and written communicationskills;
  • Mustbe flexible to work days and eveningshifts;
  • EAPindustry experience is anasset;
  • Exceptionalcustomer service focus, high professionalism and adherence toethical principles ofconduct;
  • Basicknowledge of computer systems is anasset.
  • Job Grade : MS4
