What you can expect in a typical day :
As the Senior Manager Corporate Human Resources, you would lead day-to-day HR operations and provide advice and critical thinking to all opportunities impacting our human resources.
In this role, you will be responsible to lead a group of HR Professionals who provide strategic HR support to our Corporate teams through collaboration and consistent HR practices and services that align with Irving’s vision, mission, objectives and business goals.
What you’ll need to succeed :
Senior level experience in understanding and applying a Human Resources strategy, executing and supporting HR plans including Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Succession Planning, Compensation and Benefits, Work Environment
Ability to lead a team of HR professionals, including the creation and execution of development plans, performance management, goal setting and on-going coaching.
Lead the workforce forecasting process to develop and implement a recruitment plan including identifying resources to deliver against it.
Ensure the strategic alignment of talent management practices with your strong business acumen, operations, and HR expertise.
Act as a thinking partner and coach to designated management teams focused on Employee Relations, People Development Process, Recruitment, Retention,
Lead an integrated team of professionals responsible for Human Resource programs and policies
Assess risks, progress, and outcomes to influence desired results
Strong ability to influence without authority
Build credibility and relationships quickly with key stakeholders
Work effectively in a fast paced team environment
Ability to adapt and change communication style
Some travel may be required for this position.
Education and experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, business or in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 to 10 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a leader of people
Demonstrated experience with Talent Management Programs
CPHR (Certified Professional in Human Resources) or other professional HR designation an asset
Strong facilitation skills
