We are currently seeking an energetic Demand Planner for a leading manufacturer in the Milton area. The position is available due to a promotion! The successful candidate will work to improve the accuracy and reliability of the demand plan through projection of the most realistic estimate of customer demands within the monthly business planning framework.

This individual will apply their analytical techniques and leverage supply chain modelling techniques to develop tactical and operational consensus demand forecasts.

Responsibilities include :

  • Consistently achieve sustainable demand plan accuracy within defined objectives
  • Develop and maintain an unbiased demand plan, while capturing and analyzing key inputs from generating demand events
  • Select appropriate forecast models to generate accurate base forecasts within the agreed approach, and effectively use all demand planning systems to enable an exception-based management approach
  • Build and maintain good communication and collaboration within Business Leaders, Sales, Innovation, Finance and Supply Chain, to ensure commitment from all functions
  • Work to fully integrate the monthly business planning (MBP) process the primary objective is to align on one number, gain alignment on milestones and identify risks and opportunities
  • Drive fast and appropriate actions to minimize the impact of deviations from the demand plan
  • Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • University degree or college diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or a business-related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain (or in other similar planning roles)
  • Focus on results with strong service orientation, and strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • APIC certification is a plus
  • Lean or Six Sigma training is considered an asset
