Civeo Premium Services Employees LP

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is currently looking to fill a position for a Cook at our Wonowon Lodge site located near Fort St.

John. The successful candidate will prepare a wide variety of foods, do inventory and grocery orders, and ensure the highest quality of food possible.

Duties will include meal preparation, inventory, administrative tasks, safety and teamwork. Cooks must work in a friendly and efficient manner with the client and all staff, manage special requests, and ensure the smooth working order of the site.

The successful candidate will work a 20 days on and 10 days off rotation.

  • Check orders received for quantity and quality of product
  • Motivate kitchen staff
  • Create and follow menus
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products
  • Ensure that sanitation standards are maintained
  • Assist with staff development and training
  • Promote good public relations
  • Participates, accepts and adopts the safety principles described in the Civeo safety program
  • Attends and participates in meetings
  • Has a complete understanding of WHMIS and applies this knowledge in day to day work
  • Works in a safe and responsible manner
  • Participates as an integral member of a team
  • Qualifications

    The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications :

  • Journeyperson certification is preferred, but experience will be considered
  • 3+ year's food service experience in a busy, high volume commercial kitchen
  • Experience working away from home for extended periods is preferred
  • Food Safety certification is required
  • Advanced Food Safety certification is preferred
  • Customer service skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to work a variety of scheduling rotations and shifts (including night shifts)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Current, valid First Aid certification is preferred
  • Excellent comprehension and command of the English Language
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs
