What is the opportunity?

As a Recoveries Officer, you will apply your strong negotiation skills to reduce losses and increase recoveries for RBC Personal Products, and Card portfolio.

You will conduct Recovery collections through effective collection techniques.

What will you do?

  • Recover outstanding balances on Personal Loans and Card Products, utilizing RBC collection methodologies.
  • Initiate outbound calls and receive incoming client calls.
  • Analyze all client information available to assess the maximum recovery, by providing repayment options to clients.
  • Identify risk situations and escalate if and when appropriate.
  • Provide recommendations for litigation or third party collection activity in cases where the liability status could not be recovered through normal collection activity.
  • Maintain a balance between quality Customer Care and effective collections techniques.

  • Embrace the service routines, goal setting and performance enablement.
  • Apply your capabilities to identify opportunities for innovation (Simpler, Faster, Better).

    Must-have

  • Collection experience.
  • Excellent telephone, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Efficient time management capability.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively.to a rapid changing environment.
  • Self-motivated, self-managed and a team player.
  • Superior ability to problem-solve by actively listening
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to balance Customer Service mindset and risk / loss mindset.
  • At ease with computers, ability to learn quickly and navigate through multiple computer programs.
  • Ability to work shifts within the hours of 8am-8pm Monday- Friday and 8am - 4pm one Saturday per month.

  • Knowledge of bank personal and card products.
