Reporting to the Producer FEC (Family Entertainment Centers)& Experience, you will be working closely with the development team of Creactive™, the Director will oversee all marketing and sales initiatives during the development phase of the Creactive Cirque du Soleil Experience.
To this end, he / she will be responsible to set the overall sales and marketing strategy for the franchise, specifically related to the Toronto market and to plan all aspects to lead towards a successful opening of the experience.
This person will act as primary Sales & Marketing contact with all key internal and external stakeholders and local agency.
The responsibility will also necessitate to work closely with both the Marketing Communications (Marcom) and Finances teams in Montreal who will provide support including digital, PR, CRM and brand strategy, POS and systems.
You will be known to : - Oversee all marketing activities of Creactive, starting with a strong launch strategy that will be implemented pre-
opening and rolling into the post-opening. Focus will be on the Toronto market;- Be the main contact with the Marcom team in Montreal and with the Toronto local Agency;
Work with the Project Development team to integrate key marketing elements into the experience during its development process (social media, photo op, pay-
per-play, etc )- Ensure that all marketing activities by our agencies adhere to Cirque du Soleil brand standards;- Identify synergies to leverage overall Creactive portfolio (including Club Med Creactive) and other Cirque du Soleil local Shows;
Develop creative marketing partnerships;- Identify potential partners / sponsors to create revenue generating opportunities and oversee / execute resulting obligations;
Determine and prepare the revenue and marketing budgets and planning;- Work with counterparts in various areas of marketing in order to ensure optimal coordination;
Support operational teams of the different locations in their activation activities and ensure a cohesive overarching strategy of the portfolio;
Develop strategic sales plans to achieve attendance and revenue targets for Creactive Toronto;- Be responsible for ticket sales strategy, revenue growth as well as go-
to-market strategies offline and online (in collaboration with Operation leadership);- Develop group sales, B-Day parties and events strategies, as well as calendar of activities to promote the experience and drive traffic;
Recommend an action plan to maximize revenues and drive actions pre-opening;· Identify new sales opportunities related to ticketing (e.
g. VIP packages);· Research and locate new markets and clients to generate sales to meet organizational goals and generate repeat business;
Determine ticket allocation and distribution strategies to maintain acceptable occupancy levels;· Analyze market and visitor attendance trends to determine improvements on sales strategies and inform marketing spending;
Negotiate sales rates and contracts with schools and other organizations; · Develop ticketing & customer service policies and procedures, in collaboration with the operation team;
Develop mitigation plans for underperformance in revenue streams. We want to meet you if you have : - A start-up mindset;
A minimum of 10 years of combined sales and marketing experience with solid experience in the location based entertainment sales and marketing experience in a business environment;
Proven experience in the Toronto area marketing with high-profile brands in portfolio situations and working with agencies;
Knowledge in ticketing strategies and plateforms;· The ability to leverage established relationships as they relate to ticketing;
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills; - A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field;
Partnership builder, marketing strategist with specialty in family entertainment- A fluency in English; French an asset;
Advanced knowledge of all MS Office programs;· A self-starting, team-oriented and focused work ethic;- Excellent team builder and leader, steady leadership amongst ever changing circumstances.
